Project title: Development and implementation of an energy management system using renewable energy sources (RES) in areas sensitive to power supply continuity
Managing Authority: National Centre for Research and Development
Project implementation location:
Consortium Leader: Polskie Zakłady Zbożowe Lubella GMW Sp. z o.o. Sp.k., ul. Wrotkowska 1, 20-469 Lublin
Consortium Partner: Lublin University of Technology, ul. Nadbystrzycka 38D, 20-618 Lublin
The project is implemented under the Smart Growth Operational Programme 2014–2020, Measure 1.1: R&D projects of enterprises, Sub-measure 1.1.1: Industrial research and development works carried out by enterprises.
The objective of the project is to develop, produce, and implement a system for managing the energy and cost efficiency of technological processes and background operations at the Applicant’s facility by installing its own RES-PV source and integrating it non-invasively with operational processes using the methodology of dynamic power supply mode models.
The subject of the project is to carry out R&D work involving the construction of a system enabling dynamic management of energy flows from an unstable source (photovoltaic panels). The system will feature transparency of Power Supply Modes (reducing the complexity of the control model for electricity distribution within the Applicant’s internal power network).
Additionally, it will enable dynamic switching of individual loads between different power supply modes. The system will support operators in decision-making, particularly in classifying energy flows into specific supply modes, and will be characterized by responsiveness enabling the development of Demand Side Response (DSR) services.
The result of the project will be the introduction of additional organizational procedures into the Leader’s operations, supported by a prototype system for managing energy efficiency.
